William Walker Briggs, 98, of Marietta, OH, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Waterview Pointe. Bill was born September 24, 1926, at the White Cross Hospital in Columbus, OH. He is the son of the late Frances Cisler and Robert Briggs. Bill spent his earlier years in Bexley, OH, prior to moving to Charleston, WV., where he graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School. After high school he was employed for many years at a local lumber yard before taking a job at the Teamsters Union Hall in Charleston where he worked for 16 years before moving to Marietta, OH. Four siblings Wallace, Robert, Mary Frances and Jane Briggs Lee preceded him in death. He was a life time member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church where he served as a lay reader for many years. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike Street, burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
