Donald E. Johnson, 77, of Marietta, passed away December 10, 2024. Donald was born on September 21, 1947, in Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Gerald and Opal Johnson.
Donald was an avid golfer and made many friends on the greens. He was also a longtime member and Deacon of Putnam Congregational Church in Devola. Donald retired from the ODOT after 35 years as an Engineer.
Donald is survived by his two sons James (Charlotte) and Brian (Becky), as well as three grandchildren Ashley (Jacob), Michael, and Matthew. Niece Michelle (Charla), nephew Tony (Denise) and great-nephew Derek.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his brother Richard.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 21, 2024, 1:00 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home of Belpre, with Pastor Guthrie Chamberlain III, officiating. Visitation will be held before the service Saturday, December 21, 2024, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home of Belpre.
Burial will follow at Mt. Herman Cemetery.
