Rita Faye Stephan, 87, of Williamstown, WV passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Rita was born March 29, 1937 in Reedy, WV., to the late John D. and Allie (Gault) Cumberledge. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Williamstown. Rita married Dan Stephan Sr. on September 22, 1956 who preceded her in death. She worked in the family business, Peoples News until her retirement. She was an active member of the Williamstown Women's Club for many years. In addition to her parents and husband Rita was preceded in death by a son, Mark Alan Stephan, her brothers Glenville and Keith Cumberledge and sister Virginia Carpenter. She is survived by her children Dan Jr. and Eric (Tina), grandchildren Anne, Michael, Ben, Martin and Abbey and great grandchild Mayci. Also surviving is a sister Judy (Cumberledge) Chichester of Williamstown.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 20, 2024 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown, WV.
