Ronald H. Moore, 76, of Marietta, OH, passed away on Friday (December 6, 2024) at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. Ron was born in Smithville, WV on October 22, 1948. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and went on to make a career as an electrician for over 40 years.
Ron was well known for his caring and charismatic personality, often being described as someone whom people were drawn to. He lived life to the fullest and was an avid hunter and fisher. He enjoyed spending time on his family farm, gardening, and being surrounded by family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leona Moore-Valentine and Harold Valentine as well as two brothers, Roger and Glenn Valentine.
Ron is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Bettie J Farley; brothers, Jerry (Leslee) Valentine and Robert (Bob) Valentine; sister, Regina (Chuck) Pensca; Children, Millie (Mike) Starner, Joe (Missy) Farley, Lillie Latham, Billia Farley, and Cody (Terra) Wittekind as well as numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In honoring his final wishes, there will be no public services. A celebration of life will take place at a later date on Ron's family farm.
A private cremation will take place at Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society.
