Dr. Harry Green, DDS, a highly respected orthodontist, dedicated educator, and passionate aviator passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024, at the age of 89 in Scottsdale, AZ.

Born in 1935, in Ashtabula Ohio. Harry led a remarkable life marked by professional excellence, a deep love for his family, and a devotion to the skies.

Dr. Green graduated from Northwestern University with his Bachelor of Arts degree, studied abroad in Barcelona Spain, and later earned his DDS from The Ohio State University, where he was known for his commitment to advancing the field of orthodontics. His career spanned decades, during which he became a revered leader in the orthodontic community. He served as President and Lecturer for Mid Continent Orthodontics, sharing his knowledge and expertise with peers and students from around the world. His contributions to the field helped shape the careers of many dentists who followed in his footsteps.

Outside of his professional achievements, Harry was an avid pilot for over 67 years. His love of aviation led him to pursue flying as a lifelong hobby and ultimately achieving the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award in 2022 for 50 + years of excellence in aviation flight experience. Whether in the clinic or the cockpit, Harry’s passion for precision and care was evident in everything he did.

Harry’s family was his greatest joy, and he was best known to them as Dad, Pop and Babydoll.

He is survived by the love of his life, Barbara Jackson, of Cave Creek, Arizona, with whom he shared many cherished years. He leaves behind his beloved children: Aaron Green of Redondo Beach, California; Jason Green and his wife, Melissa Vasquez Green, and grandsons Max and Myles Green of Thousand Oaks, California; Tiffany Green Bullard and her husband, Rusty Bullard, and grandson Ben Bullard of Anderson, South Carolina; and Sherry Jackson Vaught and her husband, Robert Vaught, and granddaughters Alli Olnhausen and Nicole Curley and her husband Leondro Curley of Phoenix, Arizona.

Harry will be remembered for his warmth, intelligence, generosity, and the legacy he leaves behind in both his professional field and his family. He touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later time.
