Kenneth Allen Stephens
Kenneth Allen Stephens, 91, of Vincent, Ohio, passed away January 8, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born October 18,1933, to the late Lawrence E. and Esta (Lynch) Stephens in Barlow, Ohio and lived his entire life in Washington County.
Kenny is a graduate of Waterford High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Boston.
He is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Eugene) Huck of Marietta, Ohio and Gena (Bill) Eichmiller of Vincent, Ohio; five grandchildren, Christopher Huck of Akron Ohio, Lori Beth (Chris) Auldridge of Athol, Idaho, Kimberly (Bill) Peterman of Delaware, Ohio, Whitney Huck of Marietta, Ohio and Abby Eichmiller of Vincent, Ohio; and six great-grandchildren Amelia, Annalise, Alora and Avery Auldridge, and Grant and Evan Peterman. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 68 years, Sara Stephens, 4 sisters; Lucile, Belva, Ruth, and Arlene and 4 brothers; Forrest, Dale, Russ and Dana.
After the Navy, Kenny worked as a welder and retired from Ohio Power Beverly plant. He loved to fish, and built his first bass boat, but continually upgraded until he had just what he wanted. After retirement, Kenny perfected his woodworking skills and turned out many crafts and furniture, most of which he gifted to others.
Kenny was a 32-degree Mason at the Mt. Moriah Lodge and a member of The American Legion for over 60 years. Kenny and Sara were members of Watertown Presbyterian Church.
Friends may call at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Homes on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m.,followed by a Masonic service at 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples on January 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. with The Reverend John Harra officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown W.Va.
The family would like to thank Dr Dennis and the palliative care unit as well as Hospice for their care and compassion.
