Sharon Medley, 87, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on January 7, 2025, at Ocala Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born April 11, 1937, in Marietta, Ohio, a daughter of the late Irvin and Lola Leonhart.
She was a graduate of Marietta High School class of 1955. She married Gale James Medley who preceded her in death on November 22, 2015.
Sharon retired from Publix Grocery Stores. She was a devoted member of Ocala Springs Baptist Church, Ocala Christian Women's Connection, The Paddock Phillies (Red Hats). She belonged to Country Roads Quilt Club, donating to many charities. She also enjoyed bunco and chicken foot as well as traveling with her husband Jim.
She is survived by her children, Daniel of Ocala, Scott (Kristen) of Richmond, Ohio, Debbie (David) Guzzo of Columbus, Ohio, Brian (Kim) of New Carlisle, Ohio, Jeffery of Ocala, Florida, and many grand and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth (Betty Jo) Leonhart and brother Michael Leonhart.
The burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park in Marietta, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Saint Jude.
