Rebecca (Becky) Ann Sayre, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away on March 19, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.

Becky was born on December 6, 1974, in New Martinsville, WV, to Wanda Hinsel and Russell Rose Sr. (and his wife, Nancy Rose). Becky was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She is survived by her devoted husband, John Sayre; her cherished daughter, Catherine Sayre; her brother-in-law, Rickie Sayre; mother-in-law, Ruby Sayre; her sisters, Sherry Chambers, Violet Rose, and Tammy Howell; her brothers, Terry Winter, Dale Hinsel II, Russell Rose Jr.; and her nephew, James Walker.

Becky was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Hinsel; her sister, Teresa Higgenbotham; and her cousin, Mike Lemasters.

Becky was known for her unwavering love and care for her family. She devoted herself to creating a warm and nurturing home and found great joy in spending time with her loved ones. She loved going on trail rides, camping, and cruising, cherishing the memories made on these adventures.

Her bright spirit, kind heart, and strength will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at Green Lawn in Lowell on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 10 a.m. for graveside services. The family will host a celebration of Becky’s life at a later date.
