Daniel Leland Zimmerman

Dan Zimmerman, 69, of Lowell, Ohio, passed away on March 22, 2025, at Cedar Hills Rehabilitation, Zanesville, Ohio after an extended illness. He was born on February 5, 1956, to the late Delbert and Ruth Zimmerman. Dan was a veteran of the United States Army as a Utility Helicopter Repairer/Aircraft Mechanics. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles and traveled across the U.S. for 25 years on his Harley every chance he got. He always had a story or a joke to tell and was a huge fan of any Hank, Willie or Waylon music. Dan retired from Shelley Material, Marietta, Ohio.

Dan is survived by sons, Scott and Levi, Diane the mother of his children, grandson Tristen, great granddaughter Aubree, brother Bob(Connie), sister Chris, mother in law Elaine Lang, brothers and sisters in law Mike(Neva) Kern, Marilyn(Eric) Pottmeyer, Tom(Deb) Kern, Dan(Cindy) Kern, Beth(Bay) Branham and Cindy(Vivik) Abhyankar, special Aunt Reva(Uncle Paul) Lori that helped raise Dan, along with several aunts, uncles, step brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Dan was preceded in death by grandparents Howard and Elsie Zimmerman, Joe and Edna Foraker, stepbrother Tom Parks, stepsister Kathy Weinstock, stepmother Jean Zimmerman, father in law Raymond Kern, brother in law Doug Kern and nephew Travis Zimmerman.

Dan’s wishes were to be cremated. The family will have a graveside service at Sharon Cemetery, in Noble County, Ohio on April 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society.
