Dewana Gail Tidwell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dewana Gail Tidwell (Smalley) on April 19, 2025, at the age of 68. She was born in South Charleston, WV, on December 31, 1956, and preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Elsie Smalley of Mount Hope, WV.

Dewana was a 23-year resident of Jasper, AL and is survived by her husband, Rip Tidwell, and four children, Jason Combs (Grace), Jeremy Combs (Kimber), Jennifer Meador Tidwell (Eric), J.R. Tidwell, and 10 grandchildren, Gavin Combs, Owen Combs, Liam Combs, Ella Combs, Everett Combs, Austin Meador, Ava Meador, Rosie Meador, Savanna Hall, and Sianna Barber.

She is also survived by her sister, Jodie Addis (Steve), nephew Christopher Karnes and niece Sarah Douglas.

We ask that you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May her memory be a blessing and may her soul rest in eternal peace.
