Evalylea June Rose, 93, of Marietta, OH, joined her family on Monday, April 7, 2025. She was born June 8, 1931, in Stumptown, WV, to the late Clyde H. and Eura Sholes Stump Casto (Web). June graduated from Marietta High School in 1949 and worked at Schwendeman Ins. Agency and retired from the Washington County OSU Extension Service after 24 years. June loved to work in her yard, reading, knitting hats for Coats for Kids and volunteering at Marietta Memorial Hospital, 55 Plus and Hospice. She attended the Sixth and Washington Sts. Church of Christ. She is survived by her son Bruce S. Rose of MI, daughter- in-law Carolyn Rose of Marietta, sister Sandra Sherrer of Wadsworth, OH, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends Jane Cunningham, Scott and Debbie McKitrick and longtime friend Marilyn Stegner and many others. On May 5, 1951, she married Carl “Jim” Rose who preceded her in death along with her parents, a son Craig Rose and infant daughters Julia and Joyce.
