Ellen Marie Carpenter, 91, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Marie is the daughter of the Late James "Fred" and Rosa (Stanley) Reynolds. She was a graduate of Marietta High School, retired from Marietta Memorial Hospital and worked in Patient Registration. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, puzzles, her animals and her grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Linda Burton, grandchildren: Brandi Braden (Jason), Amy Waterman and Jesse Burton (Joslyn). great grandchildren: Carley Miller (Kwan), Jaden Waterman, Keyshawn Simpkins, Jordan Burton, Braxton Simpkins, Ethan Hagar, Jesslyn Burton, Aaliyah White, and Ella Hagar. Great Great Granddaughter: Azayla Griffin.
Siblings: Jerry Reynolds (Pat), Marlene Neville and Rodney Reynolds (Mary).
In addition to both her parents she is preceded in death by her Husband Charles Carpenter, son-in-law Steven Burton, siblings: infant brother, James Reynolds, Betty Richmond.Services will be 6:00 PM, today at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV. Visitation will be 4:00 PM until time of service.
