Gary Robert Patten, 74, of Marietta, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Gary was born April 8, 1951, in Marietta, Ohio, to Dean and Marion {Parsons} Patten.
He graduated from Marietta High School in 1970.
Gary married Lylah Wallace on February 21, 2004.
He was a body man at Bob Bingler Ford and later worked at Marietta High School as a custodian. He served on the Marietta Fair Board for several years and was on the Horse Committee. He enjoyed tractor pulls, Pioneer City Riding Club, NASCAR and was a past member of Moose Lodge.
Gary will be deeply missed by his wife Lylah; stepdaughter Annie (Rich) Bigham of Crooksville, OH; step-grandchildren Willow Grahame of Nelsonville, OH and Dance Grahame of Marietta; one great step-grandson; brothers Ralph Patten of Marietta and David (Sondra) Patten of Georgetown, KY; nieces Kelly Patten, Angela Becker; nephew Scott Patten; great nephews Sebastian Drawdy and Blake Becker; great niece Mahlen Becker and his cherished pets Mr. Monk, Bodie and Columbo.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother Gregory Dean Patten.
