Our beloved husband, father and poppi. Larry L. Brown passed away April 29 at 10:50pm at Richard Ross Heart Hospital, Ohio State University with his family by his side.

He was born April 7, 1936, in Marietta, Ohio, also Marietta’s birthdate, to Willard J. and Gladys Schafer Brown. He graduated from Marietta High School class of 1955, he was the captain of the Tigers track team and was highly decorated and an all conference running back for the Marietta High School Tigers football team. He worked as a Supervisor, Chemical Operator and Production Scheduler at American Cyanamid for 35 years. On May 29th, 1958 he married Shirley A. Miller they were married for 67 years and is the father of two sons Larry D. Chip (Debra) Brown, John C. Brown and grandfather of Brianna Brown, Isabella Brown, Gavan Brown & Amber McDaniel, they all live in Alpharetta Georgia.

He was a member of the Congregational Church from a small child where he served on many committees such as Pastoral Search Committee, Business Committees and Deacon plus others. He is survived by one Brother Waldo Brown and one Sister Marilyn Marenchin, Sister-in-law Bernice Hines and many Nieces, Nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother, Harold “Bud” Brown. He was a direct descendant of Peter Browne who arrived on the first Mayflower 1620.

He was a devoted husband, father and poppi. The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Larry chose to be cremated with a private service and will be observed by the family.
