William E. Best Sr., 78, Newport, OH, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Born in Marietta, OH, on November 25, 1946, he was a son of the late Ervin and Erma Martin Best. He was a member of the Lighthouse Apostolic Church in Marietta, and worked various jobs throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Naomi Ruth Adams Best; one son, Bill (Patty) Best; one daughter, Christine (Steve) Reed; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Aaron Scott Best Sr., two brothers, and three sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 2, 2025, at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV with Pastor Melvin Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Barker Cemetery.
