Lisa Beth (Westbrook) Smith, 50, of Searcy, AR, passed away on May 18, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 21, 1974, in Marietta to Lloyd and Shirley (Thomas) Westbrook.
She had a strong passion for working with children and touched many lives through her role as a special education teacher. Her most recent position was with the Cabot School District. She owned and operated a small in-home daycare until her children were old enough to attend school. She made impactful, loving connections with children and their families during this endeavor. One of her favorite pastimes was riding roller coasters. Her ideal vacations were spent enjoying theme parks with her family. She also enjoyed scrapbooking. Her beautiful smile, warm heart, and gentle spirit were rooted in her faith in Jesus. She was a member of the Downtown Church of Christ in Searcy.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 28 years, David Smith; children, Tennyson Smith, Brody Smith, and Wyatt Smith; parents, Lloyd and Shirley Westbrook; sister, Lori Strasser (Drew); niece, Alison Strasser; and nephews, Spencer Strasser (Deanna), Brad Barnett (Shellie) and Blake Barnett (Kristi); along with a host of other beloved family members.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Alfred and Glenda Westbrook and maternal grandparents, Clyde and Ruth Thomas.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 24, at the Downtown Church of Christ in Searcy.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
