Holly Ann Thrasher Hopp, aged 71, passed away on June 24, 2025, in Vincent, OH. Born on March 30, 1954, Holly devoted her life to her family and her passions.
She leaves behind a loving family: her husband of 53 years, Dave Hopp; son, David Hopp Jr. and his wife Heather of Marietta; brother, Brad Thrasher and his wife Cindy; sister-in-law, Linda and her husband Bill Guth; and her special Aunt Marian Thrasher. She also leaves behind several nephews, nieces, and cousins. Holly was preceded in death by her parents, Hollie and Ruth Thrasher; sister, Helen Thrasher-Heiss; and her grandparents, Elmer and Pearl Thrasher, and Clarence and Celoria Huntsman, along with her mother-in-law, Barbara Hopp. A graduate of Marietta Senior High, Holly built a long and dedicated career at Thermo Fisher, where she worked for 38 years before retiring. Her personal interests included hunting, shooting, boating, and a lifelong affection for working with horses, bringing joy and a sense of adventure to her life.
A celebration of life will be planned by the family, with details to be announced at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the area hospice and Marietta Home Care Service, an Amedisys Partner, in Holly's memory.
