Phyllis Jean Givens, 82, of Williamstown, WV., passed away Thursday, July 3, 2024 at Arbors of Marietta. She was born October 8, 1942 in Jackson Co., WV., to the late Russell F. and Maddie Gandee Steele. Phyllis worked as a secretary for 35 plus years at the First Baptist Church of Williamstown where she was a member. She is survived by her sons Jeff (Penny) Givens of Williamstown and Jonathan Givens of Marietta, grandchildren Stephanie (Todd) Frye and Matt Cain, five great grandchildren, a special niece Sharon (Don) Adkinson as well as many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Eustice Givens. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta with Pastor Chad Mugrage officiating, burial to follow in Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown. Visitation will be held from 12-2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Phyllis was an avid W.V.U. and Williamstown athletics fan, memorials may be made to the Williamstown Improvement Network "WIN", P.O.
