Edward H. West, 80, born in Wheeling, WV on July 27, 1945, passed away on August 7, 2025 in Marietta, OH. He held two Master’s degrees, one from Temple U. and the other from WVU. He lived a life full of adventures, including a trip to Hong Kong for Chinese New Year, a trip on Amtrak to ring in the New Year in Times Square, seeing The Mouse Trap in London with his daughter, co-hosting a Steelers/NFL talk podcast with his son, and many business trips, golf outings and tailgates. But what he loved most was being home in Marietta in his recliner with a cigar and a good glass of wine or out entertaining his loved ones and friends. It was our honor to have Ed “Dad” as a father. He was always loving and supportive of our dreams. He was so proud to have made it to 80. We only wish he could still be with us here today, but he will live on in our hearts and memories. So, with that in mind, we will be celebrating his life at the Elks in Marietta, OH (414 Colegate Drive), Sunday September 7 during the Steelers vs. Jets game, 11am-end of game. Please feel free to wear game day gear (casual attire).
In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to a memorial bench that will be placed as part of the Marietta Levee Park Project as a lasting tribute to his loving memory in the place he loved to call Home.
