Fehling
With heavy hearts, we announce that Linda Fehling returned to the Lord on August 21, 2025.
Linda Marian Winters (Fehling) was born on June 4, 1954, in Marietta, Ohio, to Alberta Margaret Ott and Frederick Francis Winters. She was raised in a loving family with five siblings.
Linda was a lively person, full of energy and kindness towards everyone she met. She began her career as an EKG technician but later devoted herself to raising her family, always ready to lend a helping hand. With a deep passion for travel, she was never content to stay in one place for too long. Linda took pleasure in the simple joys of life–particularly her chocolate cake and TV news. She aspired to return to her medical profession or possibly start a horse farm, showcasing her admiration for the grace and power of horses. Earlier this year, she earned her CNA certification, a significant achievement that filled her and her children with immense pride. Her greatest joy stemmed from being surrounded by her beloved children and grandchildren, along with those she treasured.
Her loving brothers, Fred (Nancy) Winters and Eugene “Gene” (Kim) Winters, survive her, along with her children: Danielle (Frank) Clay, Michelle Ufford, David Fehling, and Linda (Tim) Jaberg, and her grandchildren Isabelle, Alexander, Kaitlyn, and Gwendolyn Clay; Chloe and Ethan Ufford; and Charlotte and Lucas Jaberg. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Mary Margaret Winters, Alice Copeland, and Kathy and Bill McCoy.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, 506 4th St, Marietta, Ohio, on Saturday August 30, 2025 at 1pm with burial to follow at New St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation at at the church prior to services from 11am-1pm.
