Ruth Irene Poulton, 94, of Marietta, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus Thursday, August 7, 2025.

She was born December 6, 1930, in Marietta to Arthur Dean and Ida Blanche {Pfieffer} Wheeler.

Ruth graduated from Marietta High School in 1948.

She married Harold Lewis Poulton on March 7, 1949.

Ruth was a Methodist by faith and attended Sand Hill United Methodist Church for many years. She worked at Marietta Memorial for many years as a midnight shift patient registration clerk. Ruth also enjoyed volunteering at MMH and hospice where she continued to be of service to others.

Ruth will be deeply missed by her son Larry (Rose) Poulton; daughter-in-law Joyce Poulton; grandchildren Tonya Tullius (Shane Simers), Tabitha (Robert) Hathaway, Lacey (Jon) Wilson, Larrisa (Mark) Poulton-O’Brien, Matthew (Lindsey) Poulton and Michael (Kelsey) Poulton; great-grandchildren Daniel (Mikki) Westfall and Laura Westfall, Kyle Miller, Dominick Ross, Abigail Poulton, Marcus and Mason O’Brien, Reid and Rozalind Poulton, Benjamin, Ellaina and Lucas Poulton; sister Janice Seevers; special niece Teri Wright; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Harold; son George Poulton; sister Pauline Kesselring; brother Norman Wheeler; great-granddaughter Jennifer Miller.

Friends may call Monday, August 11th, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
