James F. Beaver, 88, formerly of Devola, peacefully passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas.

Jim was born March 3, 1937, in Marietta, OH to James Andrew and Stella Louise Burns Beaver.

He was a 1955 graduate of Marietta High School.

Jim was a veteran of the United States Navy, proudly serving on the USS Canberra.

He married Norma Lee Riffle on May 1, 1981.

Jim was employed at Union Carbide/Amoco until his retirement.

Jim was a member of Twin Rivers Baptist Church. Jim was known for his unwavering faith and belief in the Word of God. He thoroughly enjoyed his time as a Sunday school teacher and loved to study his bible. He loved to witness to others about Jesus and what He had done for him.

Jim will be deeply missed by his children Rick (Donna) Beaver of Marietta, Scott Beaver of Parkersburg, Peggy (Mark) Conder of San Antonio, TX, Leahbeth Riffle-Voner of Marietta, Jane Wodzien of Morgantown, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife Norma, son Chet Riffle of Camden, SC, daughter-in-law Sheila Beaver, sons-in-law Thomas Wodzien and Fred Voner; grandson Maclin Conder.

Friends may call Thursday, September 18th from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
