Martha Lois Mincks
With great sadness, we announce the passing of our mother, Martha Lois Mincks, 91, of Beverly. Mom left her mortal body early August 31, 2025 at Waterview Point in Marietta to enter the presence of God and to be reunited in Heaven with her husband, our father, Dean Mincks. Born June 14, 1934 to Alfred L. and Erma L. Brown, Martha grew up on a large farm in Crooked Tree, Ohio with her brother, Cecil and sister, Shirley. It was at the Jackson School in Noble County, Ohio where she met Dean, her future husband. After graduating from Dexter City High School, she worked for Union Carbide while waiting for Dean to return to the States after serving with the U.S. Air Force. They married August 13, 1954, then lived in Greenville, SC while Dean competed his military enlistment. Back in Ohio, they raised four children and celebrated 61 years of marriage before Deans passing in 2015. Martha took her roles of wife, mother and homemaker quite seriously always prioritizing family above herself. After her children were all grown, she became a part owner of Beverly Sewing Center with her daughter, Anita and Donna Krigbaum. Most importantly, Martha was a baptized, born-again believer in Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the Fifth Street Church of Christ. Martha was predeceased by her husband Dean, her parents and brother, Cecil. Surviving are her children, Stan (Patty) Mincks, Susan (David) Beebe, Michael (Janet) Mincks and Anita (Rex) Krigbaum; Grandchildren, Brian, Shawna (Matt), Tatum (Grant), Wesley, Christopher (Heather), Raleigh (Cyndi), Kyle (Jessica), and Wes; Great- Grandchildren, Emma, Easton, Ezra, Jackson, Arlowyn, Mila, Zoe, Madelyn, Heidi, Beaux, Cora, Lillian and Eli; Step Great-Grandson, Caleb. Also surviving are her sister, Shirley (Larry) Woodford and several in-laws and nieces and nephews.
According to Martha’s wishes, a private funeral service will be held at McCurdy Funeral Home with burial in the Beverly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, consider donations to the Beverly/Waterford Rescue Squad at P.O. Box 45, Beverly, Ohio 45715 and online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
