Carl F. Nau, 82, of Marietta, OH, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born January 26, 1943, in Dexter City, OH, to the late Andrew G. and Margaret Burkhard Nau. Carl was a member of the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Assumption and worked as an Electrician with I.B.E.W. He enjoyed playing volleyball and horseshoes in his early years and later enjoyed playing pool and euchre at the O’Neill Center. He is survived by his children Joyce Bowens, Sheila Rhodes (Bryan) and Michael Nau, eight grandchildren Jessica, Joshua, Evan and Anna Rhodes, Christina Sayres, Allee and Sara Nau and Kevin Bowens, four great grandchildren, brother Herman Nau (Betty) and a sister-in-law Joetta Ferrell (Bill). In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Sue Griffin Nau, sister Teresa Braddock and a brother Harry Nau. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at The Basilica of Saint Mary of the Assumption, 506 4th St., Marietta, OH, 45750, burial to follow in Salem Twp.
