David Wayne Sutter

August 6, 1957

October 9, 2025

David Wayne Sutter, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on October 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 68 years old.

David was born on August 6, 1957, in Wisconsin, where he developed lifelong passions for his home state’s sports teams–the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Milwaukee Brewers. His pride in his roots remained with him always.

A proud veteran, David served honorably in the United States Army Reserves for 17 years. Following his military service, he moved to Marietta and built a second career as a devoted employee of the HiVac Corporation, where he worked for over 30 years until his retirement in 2024.

David was a man of deep love and loyalty. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dennice, who was his rock and constant companion through life’s joys and challenges. He was a proud father to daughters Michelle (Shawn) Mock and Marybeth (Chris) Kehl, and a deeply cherished grandfather to Jack, Gwen, Brianna, and Kaitlyn.

He also leaves behind his mother, Jean; five brothers, Pat, Dan, Tom, Scott, and Michael; two sisters, Pam and Tracy; and many other extended family members and friends who were blessed to know and love him.

David found joy in the simple things: cheering on his teams, collecting model trains, rewatching episodes of MASH*, and, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. Although he could be a bit of a curmudgeon, his kindness and quiet strength will be missed by all who knew him.

Though cancer may have taken his body, it never dimmed his spirit. He fought bravely and lived fully, surrounded by those he loved.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date in Wisconsin. Online condolences may be made at www.hadleyfh.com.
