Turrill
10/21/32 – 09/27/25
Marlene Ann “Molly” (Stanley) Turrill, 92, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning September 27, 2025.
Born on October 21, 1932, in Marietta, Ohio, Molly graduated from Marietta High School with the Class of 1950. She began her career as an Administrative Professional at the Lennox company, where she worked hard to support her husband’s college ambitions, eventually moving to Columbus, Ohio to start a family.
Molly worked tirelessly to raise her three children in Worthington, Ohio. She was reliable, hard-working, and trustworthy and worked two jobs for most of her career at The Ohio State University and Equifax. In 2012, she retired after working 28 years at OSU in the Admissions Department, where she was often recognized for her dedication, commitment and attention to detail.
Molly loved cooking, dining out, sitting outdoors, watching the birds, her dog Muffin, and of course, anything Ohio State Buckeyes. Her kind, generous and quiet demeanor was complemented by her unexpected, and often sarcastic, sense of humor.
Molly was the last surviving member of her family, preceded in death by her mother and father (Bertha Labelle Berentz and Barker Wilson Stanley, Sr.) and her siblings: Floyd “Red” Miller, Barker W. “Bart” Stanley, Jr., Virginia “Ginnie” Davis, and Gloria Farmer. She will be greatly missed and is survived by her three children and their spouses, Sheldon Lee Jr. & Caysie Turrill of Marion, Ohio, Alison (Turrill) & James Moran of Ashley, Ohio and Amie (Turrill) & Richard Owens of Foxboro, MA. And by her niece and nephew, Cindy (Farmer) & Mike Angle of Gahanna, Ohio and Charles “Chob” and Gayle (Marsh) Davis of La Mesa, CA.
Her body was cremated at her request, and a private ceremony of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tranquility Hospice at https://tranquility-hospice.com/donate/.
