Edith Irene Jackson
Edith Irene Jackson, passed away on November 14, 2025, in Marietta, Ohio, at the age of 80 after a long battle with cancer. Born on April 25, 1945, in Lowell, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ollie Howard and Goldie Geraldine (Westbrook) Wagner. She was a 1963 graduate of Fort Frye High School and later attended Cosmetology School, becoming a licensed beautician.
Edith is survived by her husband of 55 years, Clyde William Jackson Sr. of Marietta, Ohio and by two daughters, Tina Bohl (Randy) of Lowell, Ohio, Heather Buck (Donald) of New Matamoras, Ohio, and a stepson Bill Jackson (Sandy) of Richmond, Virginia. She was proud of her grandchildren, Ryan Bohl of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, Derek Bohl of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Megan Bohl of WVU at Morgantown, West Virginia, as well as her step-grandson, Kenney Jackson of Richmond, Virginia. Edith also leaves behind her two surviving sisters-in-law, Donna Wagner and Shirley Grosklos.
Edith was preceded in death by all of her siblings, Howard, Herman, Ralph, and Ruth Wagner, and Mildred Seese-Chandler, as well as her step-son Kenneth Jackson.
Professionally, Edith was a lifelong beautician. She owned and operated her shop in Lowell and later served as beautician for Heartland in Devola. She was an avid collector of Fenton Glass and enjoyed her many flower gardens.
In accordance with Edith’s wishes, there will be a graveside service 11am Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell, Ohio, officiated by Pastor Don Archer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley in Washington County, 90 Mount Tom Rd, Marietta, OH 45750.
