James E. Lamp, 86, Newport, OH, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Jim was born October 1, 1939, in Arvilla, Pleasants County, WV. He was the son of the late Herbert C. and Vesta L. Wilson Lamp. He was a 1957 graduate of St. Marys High School, and was employed for 33 years with Marbo/Borg-Warner/ GE Plastics in Washington, WV. On September 8 1958, he married Patricia E. Binegar who preceded him in death on May 25, 1997.

He is survived by one son, David Aaron (Tonda) Lamp; one daughter, Sharon Michelle (Craig) Henegar; two daughters-in-law, Barb and Christy Lamp; nine grandchildren, Justin, Dustin, and Brennan Lamp, Shayla Michael, Ryan Lamp, Jessica Aigner, James Henegar, Julia Liebau, and Carrie Knowlton; and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sons James Stephen Lamp, Michael Anthony Lamp, and Clayton Troy Lamp; one infant grandson; two brothers; and one infant sister.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys with Pastor Rex Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Newport Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 to 2 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
