Paul Eugene Shaner

Paul Eugene Shaner, 68, of St. Marys, WV, passed away, December 18, 2025, at his residence, and now he is with his heavenly father. He was born, April 9, 1957, in Lynchburg, VA, the son of the late Charles Richard and Sydnia Fern Graham Shaner. He graduated from Warren High School in 1975. He was retired from the City of Marietta’s Water Department. He was a member of God’s Glory Church and Living Word Church. He had been a youth choir director. He was a self-taught musician and played stringed instruments. He was avid in scouting and was an Eagle Scout. His hobbies included traveling, camping, hunting, tinkering, and trying to keep his Cadillac running. He loved his family and the family get-togethers.

Paul is survived by his son, Joshua (Marelle) Shaner, granddaughters, Sophia and Noelle Shaner, sisters, Patricia Weed, Judy (Tom) Dunaway, Peggy (Alan) Huck, and Penny (Michael) Cox, step-children, Christi Sockman, Larry Webb, II, Patricia Sillman, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Shaner, a sister, Barbara Shaner, and a brother-in-law, Charles Weed.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 2 P. M. at the Ingram Funeral Home in St. Marys, WV, with Pastors Chris Pugh and Tim Nichols officiating. Interment will be in the Bartlett Cemetery, Bartlett, Ohio. Friends may call from 1 to 2 P. M. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
