Katharine Kay Benedict, 67 years old of Belpre, OH, passed away January 8, 2026, with family and friends and her Nurse Tabby by her side. Kathy was born on February 11, 1958, to the late Paul Neil Benedict and the late Rachel Ann Haught. She was raised in Veto, OH, and graduated from Warren High School. In Kathy's earlier years she enjoyed raising and showing rabbits and then carried the tradition down to her daughter and granddaughter. Kathy loved The Osmonds and always listened to Donnie and Marie and loved watching WWE. Kathy loved her dachshunds and enjoyed watching her Dallas Cowboys. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Sister Karen Benedict, Stepbrother Bradley White, Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles. Kathy is survived by her Daughter Amber Schaad, Whipple, OH, Sisters Kimberly Warren (Ross), Bellbrook, OH, Kelly Jester (Wes) Washington Courthouse, OH, Stepmom Joanne Benedict, Columbus, OH, Stepbrother Timothy White Columbus, OH, granddaughter Evelyn Bauer, Whipple, OH, Niece McKinzi Warren, Nephews Harrison Warren, Colin Starkey (Karlee), Several cousins, Bonus sister Cynthia Bailey Hilton Whipple, OH, and bonus Nieces and Nephew. The family would like to thank the staff at Marietta Heights and Amedisys Hospice for their amazing care. Special thank you to Michelle Thornberry for caring for the dogs for several months. Per Kathy's request there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at another time.
