Shirley “Marlene” Duckworth passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026. She was born in Marietta on October 2, 1937, to the late Raymond (Gene) Davison and Golda Winland Davison.
Marlene attended Marietta High School with the class of 1955. She was a member of the Lowell Christian Church, Beverly Eagles 3665, and an auxiliary member of the Barlow Fire Department. She obtained a license in Cosmetology and was employed by Warren’s IGA from 1984 to 1992. She was a Warren Warriors marching band mother from 1978 to 1982 and was affectionately known as Mama Duck. She thoroughly enjoyed helping make uniforms and flags for the band. There was not a member of the band that she did not love. She also enjoyed yard work, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
Marlene is survived by her son, David (Jan) Duckworth, son-in-law, Bill Yoho, and daughter, Lorena (Russ) Webster, six wonderful grandchildren, Josh (Kari) Yoho, Samantha (Vince) Formica, Nikki (Greg) Fisher, Shannon (Daneil Center) Robinson, Sarah (Dan) Hart, and Jessi (Jonathan) Thompson. Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren, who are the loves of her life: Luke, Wes, Madison, and Cole Yoho, Natalie, Addison, and Evan Formica, Tyler Fisher, Maria (Austin) Fisher Felter, Skylar and Ty Hart, and Sadie and Trace Thompson. Also surviving her are her brothers, Laurel Davison and Loring (Susan) Davison, and her sister, Sheila Tilton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert, her daughter, Cheryl Yoho, her brother-in-law, Irvin Tilton, and her sister-in-law, Jane Davison.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Lowell Christian Church at a later date.
