Jane Ann Wilson
Jane Ann Wilson, 68, passed away Thursday, February 12, at home, peacefully in her sleep after a brief illness. She was born March 20, 1957, in Moundsville, WV to the late Donald and Barbara Wilson.
A Catholic by faith and a believer in liberty and justice for all, she was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She attended WVU, WVUP and graduated from Glenville State in teaching. She spent many years at Parkersburg Catholic Elementary, Emerson, Edison, St. John’s (where she served as Principal), and then retired from Waverly Elementary.
Jane is survived by her siblings Susan Huggins (Scott), Mike Wilson (Dani), Roberta Cranston (Paul), and John Wilson (Shellee), along with nieces and nephews Matthew Stead (Whitney), Ryan Stead (Janelle), David Huggins (Allison), Holly Blatt (Joe), Alexandra Haile ( Zach), Andrew Cranston (Cassady), Georgia Wilson and Greenlee Wilson; also great nieces and nephews Jocelyn, Laney, and Lexi Stead; Lennon, Lucy, and Dylan Stead; Gwen and Richie Blatt; and Ava and Layla Haile, along with many wonderful friends too numerous to name. She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew Jacob Wilson.
Jane was a passionate fan of WVU basketball, and she loved spending time with her family and friends enjoying good times and laughter. She cherished her family and her many, many friends and former students. She always brought her desire to enjoy life with her everywhere she went.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. with a service at 4:00 PM February 28 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike Street, Marietta OH with the Rev. Edward Maxfield officiating. Graveside services will take place in Moundsville at a later date.
