Mary Jane Stacy

Mary Jane Stacy of Waterford, Ohio, born February 14, 1934, in Weston, WV to the late R. Frank and Causbie Watson Dennison died at her residence on January 30, 2026. She attended Belpre Schools and Pasco Hernando Community College. She retired in 1992 as Director of Weekday and Outreach Ministry, First Baptist Church, New Port Richey, FL. She was active with the Sun Coast Southern Baptist Assist Team, West Pasco Preschool Association and Florida’s Apprenticeship Program presenting leadership conferences in Florida and Georgia. She taught children’s Sunday Worship classes for many years. She was baptized in Christian faith on April 4, 1965 and was a member of the Porterfield Baptist Church.

She married Lonnie R. Stacy on May 28, 1950, who died on August 2, 2020. She is survived by four sons, David Ray Stacy and wife, Carol, of Fleming, Ohio, Jerry Alan Stacy and wife, Jeanelle, of Dade City, FL, Paul Franklin Stacy of Little Hocking, Ohio (Phyllis, who died October 7, 2021), Kevin Ferrell Stacy and wife Kelly, of Waterford, OH and daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Stacy, wife of Brian Andrew Stacy (who died March 8, 2020) of Homosassa, FL., sixteen grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Brian Andrew Stacy, two brothers Jack W. Dennison and wife Betty J. Sweet Dennison, and Linn E. Dennison and wife, Nancy, daughter-in-law Jeanne Bartmess Stacy, two infant sisters and great granddaughters, Angel Jeanne Stacy and Ezra Balogh.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Jared Carney, Amedysis Hospice Care, (Particularly Danielle and Whitney) and Linda Nichols her home assistant.

Services will be on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Pastor Eric Leeson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Belpre, Ohio. Friends may call at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to services.
