John Edward Landsittel, 85, of Munford, Tennessee, passed away on March 27, 2026. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock at Munford Funeral Home — Munford Chapel. Born September 27, 1940, in Marietta, Ohio, John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer, and was a Vietnam veteran. He later worked as an aircraft mechanic with the U.S. Navy, Beech Aerospace, and Raytheon. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington Landsittel and Hazel Estelle Bernier, and his brothers, Tom and William. He is survived by his wife, Lawanda Diane Landsittel; his daughter, Laura Strickland (Wendell) and granddaughter Sabrina; his son, John Landsittel, Jr. (Xan) and grandchildren Jenna (Carder Poore) and Gavin; and his brothers, Ed and George. John will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his service to his country. He will be deeply missed. The family asked in lieu of flowers to please donate to Disabled Veterans.
