Wayne Clifford Biss, of Davisville, WV, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Camden Clark Hospital in Parkersburg. He was born on April 15, 1930, in Aberdeen, Washington, to the late Clifford Stephen Biss and Mary Louise Reedy Biss.
Wayne retired from the Navy as Master Chief Radioman, then went on to retire from Parkersburg Post Office. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 5108, and involved with a HAM Radio club. He had attended St. Andrews United Methodist where he played the bells and then actively attended the Belpre Senior Center where he loved the cooking classes, chair volleyball, and the many other activities Belpre had for their seniors. Wayne was a gun enthusiast and shared that love with his son.
He married Margaret Ann Wright on February 7, 1954, and later divorced. He is survived by his daughter Rebecca K. Myers (Rick) of Uniontown, OH; a son, Douglas W. Biss (Cindy) of Lower Salem, OH; six granddaughters Amber Propert (Bruce) of Alexandria, VA; Alisha Schaad (Greg) of Waterford, OH; Kandus Sermulis (Joe) of Lower Salem, OH; Courtney Seevers (Shawn) of Uniontown, OH; Brittany Horton (Joel) of Lower Salem. OH, Kimberly Lasure (Thomas) of Whipple, OH; he also had 10 great- grandchildren. He will also be missed by his best friend Mary Mohler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jack and Gene Biss, of Washington; and a sister Toni Grow of Washington. He also had two great- granddaughters Heaven Lee and Mariah Faith of Lower Salem, OH.
Wayne donated his body as an anatomical gift to Marshall University. Donations may be made to the Belpre Senior Center in his name at 1614 Washington Blvd, Belpre, OH 45714. At Wayne's request, there will be no memorial service, as he wanted to be remembered in happiness, not sorrow.
