Carl “Ronnie” Hendershot

Carl “Ronnie” Hendershot, 82, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Trueman Point Care Center, on April 22, 2026. He was the sixth of fourteen children, on April 29, 1943, to John Sr. and Irene Hendershot at their family home.

Ronnie is survived by brothers, John Jr, (Jackie), Gary, Albert (Rhonda); sisters, Gwendolyn Sword, Yvonne (Ronald) Erb, Karen Morse. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jack Walter, James “Jim”, Dwight; sisters, Cletis Rummer, Jaretta Kinggans, Earnestine “Tiny” Laskey.

Ronnie was an avid traveler. He lived in Columbus for many years, then traveled west to Los Angeles, California, where he stayed for several years. He returned back to Columbus after 20 years, where he would stay. He lived the last seven years at Trueman Point Care Center, where he was loved and had many friends.

People would describe him as a “gentle soul” who will be missed so much.

A graveside inurnment will be held at a later date.
