Carolyn Sue Richards, 79, of the Bartlett area, passed away April 20, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born October 3, 1946, in Parkersburg, WV to the late Carl and Hazel Brothers Wigal from Bartlett, OH.

She attended Bartlett Elementary School and graduated from Warren High School in the Class of 1964. Shortly after graduation she started working at Kardex in Marietta, retiring after 38 years. After retirement Carolyn spent her last years working on the farm with her husband.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ruben Richards. Also surviving is her sister, Lois McAtee of Bartlett and a niece, Tammy MacInnis of Waterford, Ontario, Canada.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Cecil Wigal, brother-in-law, Dana McAtee, and sister-in-law, Marie Wigal.

There will be a graveside service officiated by Pastor Roger Massey on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. in Bartlett Cemetery.
