Marna Jean Norcross

Marna Jean Norcross, 86, passed away peacefully from natural causes on April 6, 2026, with family in Marietta, Ohio.

Marna was born on September 17, 1939, in St. Clairsville, Ohio, to Carol Blair Paglialunga and George Adamson Jr. She was a graduate of Miami University in Ohio and went on to dedicate many years of her career to the Marietta City School System as a speech therapist, where she made a meaningful impact on the lives of countless students.

Marna is survived by her two sons and their families: Jon Schneider and former spouse Dr. Kelli Cawley of Marietta, Ohio, and Curt Schneider and his wife, Jennifer Haupt, of Austin, Texas. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Ashley (Logan) Poe and their daughter Ivy; and Kristyn (Spencer) Montgomery and their sons Luke and Ryan. In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Pam Huber and Penny Piper, of St. Clairsville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her brother, William “Bill” Adamson, and by her former husbands, Al Schneider and Earl Norcross.

Marna had a creative spirit and found joy in drawing and painting. She will be remembered for her warmth, her dedication to her family, and the quiet impact she made on those around her.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff of Harmar Place Nursing Home for the compassionate care and support they provided to Marna over the past eight years and to the staff at Amedisys Hospice Care. A special thank you to Ann Mancuso for her love and support.
