Herman Andrew Huck, 100, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 13, 1925 in Waterford, Ohio, son of Leo D. and Lucy P. Brooker Huck. Herman had worked at the Beverly Feed Store for several years, Schilling Truss Company in Beverly and Air Heater Seal Company in Waterford. He graduated from Waterford High School in 1943 and served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of St. Bernard Church in Beverly and the American Legion Post #389 in Beverly. He loved gardening, woodworking and spending time with his family and grandchildren. On June 15, 1949 he was married to Alice Emma Schwendeman Huck who died on September 21, 2021. He is survived by nine children, Calvin (Carol) Huck of Waterford, Patricia (Patrick) Tornes of Beverly, Rosetta Huck of Moorefield, WV, Sandra (Donavan) Thieman of Waterford, Maureen (Gary) Cunningham of Waterford, Franklin (Leslee) Huck of Beverly, Veronica (Bryan) Adams of New Cumberland, WV, Christopher (Christina) Huck of Lewisville, Ohio and Holly Webb (Kelly Allen) of Belpre; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Larry Huck, David (Barbara) Huck and Dan (Joan) Huck; and three sisters, Clarita Denius, Ethel Lee and Julia (Kenneth) Strahler. Herman was preceded in death by his wife; parents; four brothers, Ralph, Vincent, Regis and Leo Huck; and a sister, Mary Swick.

A private family Mass will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 at St. Bernard Church with Father David Huffman and Father Tim Kozak officiating. Burial will be in the St. Bernard Cemetery with Military Rites at the Graveside. The family would like to thank the Amedisys Hospice Staff and Heidi Jackson, Danielle Stevens, Courtney Thieman and grandson, Quintin Webb for their wonderful care.
