Jeri Nace Vanaman Farnsworth, 78, of Newport, OH, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 27th, 2026, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Belmont, WV. Born in Coshocton, OH on July 2nd, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Vanaman and Mary Nadene Nace Vanaman.

Jeri upon graduating high school, moved to Columbus, OH where she worked for the government at DCSC. There she met her future husband, Marvin through his sister and moved to Newport, OH. She then started working as a receptionist for Marietta College, until having a baby, and staying home to raise her children. As her children grew up, Jeri, worked other jobs including, Super X drugstore, Newport IGA, and finally retiring at 72, from Walmart after nearly 20 years of working there. Jeri enjoyed taking care of her children and husband, going to the grandchildren’s ballgames, reading, and conversations with her many friends.

She is survived by her Daughter, Sara (Rory) Kroll; Son Brian Farnsworth and special Daughter in Law Crystal Farnsworth who has spent the last several months caring for her; Grandchildren Ethan Farnsworth, Royce Kroll, Ryker Kroll, Logan Crawford, and McKenzie-Anne Francis; two brothers, Jim Vanaman of The Villages, Florida, and John Vanaman (Renee) of Coshocton, OH; Sister in Laws, Patricia Farnsworth of Columbus, OH and Nina Jean Farnsworth of Newport, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Marvin Farnsworth, which she married on August 12th, 1977; her parents; Brother-in-Law, Rodger Farnsworth; Sister-in-Law, Carol Harmon.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ingram Funeral Home in St. Marys, WV. Burial will follow at Newport Cemetery, Newport Ohio.
