Robert Russell Stottlemire Jr., 60, of New Matamoras, OH, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026. He was born in Sistersville, WV, on October 23, 1965, the son of the late Robert Stottlemire Sr. and Carylon Flanagan Stottlemire.

A 1983 graduate of Frontier High School, Robert worked for many years as a mechanic with AOS. He and his wife, Kelly Ewers Stottlemire, were married on June 8, 2007, and shared more than 35 years together. Robert enjoyed hunting, playing cards, camping, and spending time around a backyard campfire. He especially loved the companionship of his dog, Izzy.

Robert is survived by his wife, Kelly; two daughters, Kayla (Terry) Dunn and Breanne (Wilbur) Dunn; three sons, Mitchell Stottlemire, Brent Stottlemire, and Josh Ewers; grandchildren Brooklyn, Kaylee, Coden, T.J. II, Lexie, Laney, Aubree, Paisley, Sophia, Joseph, and Alex; great‒grandchildren Graylyn and Trace; and one brother, Tim (Angie) Stottlemire. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Izzy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Kelly Stottlemire; and his father‒in‒law and mother‒in‒law, Roger and Geneva Ewers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Ingram Funeral Home in St. Marys, WV, with Pastor David Beaver officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ingram Funeral Home, 512 Second Street, St. Marys, WV 26170.
