Barbara Andrea George, née Mihaly, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, at the age of 85. She passed at home, peacefully, with family.

Born on September 13, 1940, in Smithers, West Virginia, Barbara was the beloved daughter of Andrew and Josephine Mihaly. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness touched all who knew her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Spencer George.

She is survived by her sons, David George and Jeffrey George; her daughter-in-law, Brandy George; and her cherished grandchildren whom she helped raise, Valerie Quails, née George, Monica George, and Spencer George. Family was the center of her life, and she found great joy in spending time with loved ones.

Barbara will be remembered for her caring nature, gregarious personality, and deep love for family and friends. She leaves a lasting legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel,1021 Pike Street, Marietta, Ohio. A celebration service will follow at 2:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebrate Barbara’s life.

Though she is gone from our sight, Barbara’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
