Carol Jean Forbes, of Beverly, Ohio, passed away 6/6/26.

Carol was born on 12/19/1950 to Glen and Harriett Turrill. She attended Marietta City Schools and graduated in 1968.

Carol retired from Marietta College’s business office.

She married Robert Forbes in 1986.

She had a daughter, Dawn (Tim) Spurr and four grandchildren Nick (Tori) Spurr of Marietta, Jayci Spurr of Beverly, and great granddaughters, Adeline and Wren Spurr.

She also had three stepchildren: Ric (Brandi) Forbes of Lake Mary, Florida; Katie (Dan) vonHerrmann of Savannah, Georgia; and Vivian Hutton (Lee) of Georgia. Step grandchildren Seth Forbes (Bethany) of Culloden, WV; Beth Forbes, Liam, and Emma Forbes of Lake Mary, Florida; Nick (Tori) from Marietta; Akira, Jacob, Stella, and Jeremy Hutton from Georgia; and great-grandson Graham Forbes of WV.

She is preceded in death by both parents, a sister, Sharon, a brother, Glen, and her husband, Bob.

Carol’s wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society.
