Edward E. Scott, 95, of Green, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 6, 2026 at GreenView Senior Assisted Living. He was born on July 18, 1930 in Canton, OH to Delbert and Myrtie Scott and raised in Cutler, OH. After graduating from Bartlett High School he entered the Army during the Korean Conflict, but served in Germany as an MP (Military Police) where he met his soul mate Anneliese Elisabeth Kuntz from Pirmasens Germany. After his military service he worked as a construction worker for the Gibbons-Grable Company in Canton and later became a carpenter for the same company. Edward enjoyed working with his hands and doing remodeling jobs for friends and family. He was a country boy at heart and when he was younger he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing the guitar. He was a devoted husband and father who will be remembered by many as the guy who always had a smile on his face.He was preceded in death by his wife Anneliese Scott of 58 years. He is survived by his sons Edward Scott of Canton, Delbert Scott of Massillon and Richard Scott (Daryl Butt) of Green; grandchildren Crista (Jason) Duncan, DeJay Scott, Micah Grantz, Edward (Mia) Yerkey and Michael Yerkey; along with many great grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.
