Gaylord Wesley Layton, 82, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on January 14, 1944, Gaylord shared an extraordinary 60 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Carole Layton, building a lifetime of cherished memories.

Gaylord was a proud and loving father to Reny Eddy, Ryan Layton, and Tom Layton. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, offering wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Bethel Lighthouse Church, 5570 Warren Chapel Rd., Marietta, OH, burial to follow at Salem TWP. Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta.
