Judith Ann (Hill) Williams
Judith Ann (Hill) Williams, lovingly known as “Jude” to her family, passed away at the age of 79.
Born on August 15, 1946, in Akron, Ohio, to Phyllis and Dick Hill, Judy lived a life defined by kindness, creativity, and a genuine love for people. She built a successful career working for the Ohio State Highway Department, Central Trust Bank, and TheisenBrock Law Firm, from which she retired.
Judy devoted her life to others. She was a wonderful mother to her son, Jeffrey, who was the center of her world. She was also a lover of animals, treasured her cats, and cared deeply for those around her.
Beautiful, social, thoughtful, and endlessly creative, Judy had a rare gift for bringing joy to others. Her quick wit, intelligence, warmth, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She volunteered her time working in a nursing home, bringing happiness to those who needed it most. After caring for her mother, she wrote a book about understanding those with dementia. In addition, she devoted her time to the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival, where she shared her energy with the community and the fellow Sternwheelers.
She is survived by her beloved son, Jeffrey; his wife, Sarah; their children, Jeffrey, Andrew, and Evan; and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother, Jeffrey Hill, and her sister, Janice Carey, along with their spouses, children, and grandchildren. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Phyllis and Dick Hill.
Judy will be remembered for her generous spirit, her loving heart, and the countless ways she made life brighter for others. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on the Valley Gem Sternwheeler in Marietta, Ohio, on July 22nd. Guests may arrive as early as 4 pm. The cruise will run from 4:30 to 7:30, with light refreshments. All friends and family are invited. An RSVP is not required but would be helpful. A private burial will be held on July 23rd, when she will be laid to rest at Eastlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Judy’s memory to the Hospice of Cincinnati. www.hospiceofcincinnati.org
