Judith Ann Williams
1946-2026
Judy Williams, lovingly known as Jude to her family, passed away June 1, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio, with her son by her side.
She was born on August 15, 1946, in Akron, Ohio, to Phyllis and Dick Hill Judy lived a life of kindness, creativity and a genuine love of people. After graduating Marietta High School in 1964, she had a successful career working for The Ohio State Highway Department, Central Trust Bank and Theisen and Associates law firm, from which she retired.
Judy devoted her life to others. She was a wonderful mother to her son Jeffrey who was the center of her universe. She loved cats and she always had a few sitting on her lap.
Beautiful, social, and endlessly creative. She loved making little boxes with a story and bracelets. She spoke some Spanish and did American Sign Language. Her quick wit, intelligence and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to have known her. She loved sternwheelers and worked tirelessly on The Ohio River Sternwheel Festival for years.
Judy is survived by her son Jeffrey Williams and wife Sarah of Cincinnati, grandsons Jeffrey, Andrew and Evan Williams and 3 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind brother Jeffrey Hill of Nashville and sister Janice Carey of Marietta along with their spouses and children. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Phyllis and Dick Hill.
A celebration of life will be held July 22 on The Valley Gem Sternwheeler in Marietta boarding at 4:00 pm. All friends and family are invited. Light refreshments will be served. A private burial will take place at a later date at Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, www.hospice of Cincinnati.org or charity of your choice.
