Naomi G. (Chidester) Muntz

Naomi G. (Chidester) Muntz, 94, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born to Albert and Lenna (Nicholson) Chidester on November 6, 1931 in Marietta, Ohio.

Naomi is survived by her daughters Norma Edgell, Cathy Farley and Rebecca Muntz; grandchildren Timothy (Jennifer) Edgell, DeLynn Edgell, Dusta (Robert) Goodwin, Josh (Jen) Farley and Adam Muntz; great grandchildren Danielle (Heath) Edgell, Noah (Eleanora) Edgell, Gracee (Darwin) Goodwin, Mylee, Annee, Hazelee, Parker and Ethan Goodwin, Peyton (Henry) Farley, Mackenzie and Joel Farley; great-great grandchildren Veronica Finkel and Charlotte Edgell; niece Melissa Farley and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Muntz, whom she married on November 7, 1950. Also preceding her in death were her brothers George, Russell, Kenneth, Wayne and Levi and her sister Kathryn Townsend.

Naomi worked at several places including S.S. Kresge, The Marietta Times and retired from the Marietta College print shop.

She was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption.

Funeral services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta, OH 45750 on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 2 PM. Visitation will be from 12 until the time of the service. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering will follow at the Warren Fire Department on St. Rt. 550.

The family would like to thank the staff of Harmar Place, especially Levi and Brandon for the care they gave to her, and also to Dr. Dennis and the hospice nurses at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
