Ralph E. Chutes

Ralph E. Chutes, 85, of Marietta, passed away at 5:45 am, Friday, June 26, 2026, at Riverside Landings in McConnelsville.

He was born January 15, 1941, in Marietta and raised at Mile Run. Ralph was the owner of Auglaize Tree Service.

Ralph was married to Brenda Miller and 3 daughters survive of this marriage: Vicki Chutes, Jan Otto and Denise Chutes. He later married Barbara Poulton who preceded him in death on January 21, 2013 with 2 stepchildren surviving: Cathy and Tammi and also surviving is his brother-in-law, Lloyd (Sherry) Poulton, Jr.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters and stepson, Jeff Greenlees.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday (June 30) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Tunnel Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Monday at the funeral home from 4:00 until 8:00. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
