Verna May Lockhart Patterson

Verna May Lockhart Patterson, 85, of Marietta, OH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

She was born March 30, 1940, in Wirt County, WV, the daughter of the late Elda Ora Lockhart and Florence Agnes Lightner Lockhart. Verna enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo.

She will be dearly missed by her children Virginia (Don), Michael (Nora), Roger (Ellen), Carol (Mike), Dean, Grandchildren Misty, John, Patricia, Joey, Tommy, Bobby, Tasha, Courtney, Jeremy, Justin, Timmy, Stacy, Lisa, William, D.J., Brittany, Brieanna and several Great and Great-Great Grandchildren.

In addition to both her parents she is preceded in death by a son Ricky and a daughter Mary, brothers Carl, Tommy, Junior, Paul, Darrell and sister Edna.

A special Thank You goes to those who cared for her at The Waterview Pointe nursing facility for their loving care and kindness. You are truly appreciated.

Memorial service and burial will be held on June 26, 2026, 11 am, at the Antioch Cemetery, Palestine, WV.
